#Gears of war pc glitches Pc
This is coming from a PC gaming veteran with 12 years of PC gaming under my belt.
#Gears of war pc glitches driver
Not to mention having problems with over heating, driver incompatibilities with newer games, securom security, graphical glitches etc. I had my 450 dollar nVidia card die on me after only a year of usage, so there goes 450 dollars down the drain. Also because of the rapid rate of turnaround, the PC products are not that great.

#Gears of war pc glitches upgrade
The average lifetime of a PC these days is 2-3 years, and the standards keep changing (AGP, PCIe, PCIe 16, not to mention the variations of RAM) so upgrade is never an option. Andfor multi-platform games, the PC version usually is the worst port. There are fewer AAA games made on the PC than any console, and a PC graphics card costs 600 dollars. But at this stage in time, I am sick and tired of PC gaming and can't defend it anymore. If it was a few years years ago, I would have joined in the console bashing with you JemyM. Almost regardless how I position my sofa/chair and my loudspeakers, I would feel uncomfortable and feel that the television is too far away from me, which also assist to make me miss out most of the details. I would not be able to play it with a gamepad on a television. Oblivion looks absolutely stunning on PC because I am able to crank up the hardware, the resolution and the gee-whizz effects, and also be able to play it with my 7.1 speakers while sitting about 1m from my monitor.

But there are more than enough games, so I have to draw the lines and be selective, and I draw some lines at the kind of graphical/audio experience I can get from the game without spending more money than I already did. I did not finish Thief or Fable but I finished the rest. I just do not feel that consoles can offer me the same gaming experience I can experience on a PC.Įvery game you mentioned in your list I played. I do not insinuate that consoles are for dumb people. Please don't insinuate that we who choose to game this way should be dismissed. I've played Indigo Prophecy, Fable, Dreamfall, Knights of the Old Republic I and II, Still Life, Thief: Deadly Shadows, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and others on the console. Believe me, once you do so on an HDTV you wouldn't be able to distinguish it from your PC monitor.Ĭonsole game or not, there are very many out there that appeal to intelligent and savvy gamers. It works perfectly well for me personally.Īnd as for "all TV-games is a blurred mess", you have probably experienced consoles only on analog TVs. There are definitely major advantages to going the console gaming route. I won't need to worry about upgrading any PC hardware for the next 4-5 years, and I'm very selective about the games I buy so I don't buy that many. However, because I don't make a huge annual salary, I invested in an X360 to save money.

How is it that I detect a dose of snobbery in your post? Console game or not, there are very many out there that appeal to intelligent and savvy gamers. I do not own a television and from what I played on XBox and PS2, all TV-games is a blurred mess that gives me headache, even on more expensive sets. I would not use a console if someone so gave it to me.
